A New Year, a New Adventure
As 2026 approaches, new adventures are on the horizon. Yes, another 180-day world cruise starting on January 6 from Miami, Florida. Our cruise line is Oceania, and we will be residing on the new ship, Vista.
In 2022, we were on the Insignia, Oceania's world cruise ship, for the full 180 days. Because of the remnants of COVID, our itinerary was significantly changed: mid-ocean. A complete circumnavigation did not happen, and it became a very exciting mystery cruise.

In 2024, we took a 90-day mid-world cruise to see places we missed the first time, starting in Australia, Asia, and India, and ending in Dubai. We made a lot of friends on our first world cruise and, on this second partial world cruise, we recognized about 50 passengers from the first cruise. Repeat offenders.

This prompted us to join the repeat offenders club and book the 2026 world cruise. By now, the Insignia has been retired, and the newer Vista has taken on the honor of hosting future world cruises.
The cruise line arranged for our luggage [two large suitcases each] to be picked up and will be waiting in our stateroom when we arrive. Packing for six months is no easy task. Fortunately, laundry service is included. Other challenges involve arranging six months of medication and managing mail, utility, and other bills, as well as taxes.
On the bright side, we will not have to cook, do laundry, or clean, and all activities are at our fingertips.
Come along for the ride- virtually, by following our weekly blog.
Hope you have a great time again with old and new friends. We join in SanDiego for the 120.
